Moodle and More...

Welcome to 21st Century Learning

I am hoping to start a Moodle class for our teaching staff. I would like to use it to teach them about all of the Web 2.0 tools out there. Any suggestions about how to get started?

Here is our staff development website of resources. SidneyMIT Wiki

Mike, using a Moodle course to teach about Web 2.o tools is a great idea. The only thing I would caution against is to be aware that sometimes we get a little excited about new tools and may be teaching too many things at one time. For example if Moodle is new to users and then you are adding a dozen more tools on top of that it gets to be a bit overwhelming for some. Maybe begin with something like "Using Moodle to learn NING" or a Moodle course on just delicious. Get everyone comfortable in the environment first. If you have more advanced users out there then create another course introducing several Advanced Web 2.0 Tools" at the same time. Use surveys and quzes maybe like a pre-requisite for the higher level ones. Differentiate, differentiate and Moodle makes that possible.
